On the one hand, it takes at least 7 visits, on the average, for your reader to finally decide to purchase your product. That means they'll be leaving your site at least 6 times without making a purchase. So if they click on an AdSense or Chitika ad when they leave, at least you'll have made a few cents.
However, what if you hadn't given them that option? Those ads can be distracting. Particularly the Chitika ads because they generate a pop-up if your reader even looks at them wrong. If your visitor sees something of interest in one of those PPC ads, they may just stop reading your informative blog post and click off the page to find out more about it.
Your argument might be that if they were that easily distracted then they hadn't meant to purchase anyway. But consider this - maybe it's your content. Maybe your content isn't interesting enough to hold their attention. Maybe you haven't been convincing enough to get them to click through. Preselling is the work you must start doing before you release and sell your product; that's why it's called pre-selling. In your newsletter, you can presell by including a snippet or two from your ebook and mentioning it as a viable solution to acne problems. If people get good advice from your newsletter, they will perceive you as an expert on acne problems and naturally will be curious to find out the ways you can teach them to solve their problems.
At the end of the day, it all boils down to giving value to people before you ask people to buy something from you. If you can help people to solve their problems, they will, more often than not, be very willing to buy products from you.

Ethical Marketing!
To sell a product well, it is very important to use powerful selling words to really convey each and every little benefit that your product has to convince the customer. It is not uncommon to see words like “unbelievable” and “phenomenal” and something along those lines in really great salesletters.
However, there are some marketers who intentionally use hyped-up descriptions to sell off their products. These marketers mislead customers into thinking that their products offer benefits that do not really exist in reality. At this point, it would be appropriate to quote a story that really happened:
One evening, a fellow marketer in my MSN Messenger list messaged me to check out his newest salesletter for his product, an ebook on earning revenue with contextual advertisement. I logged on to his website and was drawn right into his sales copy! The reason was the salesletter dived right into my desires and promised that “everything I have ever wanted” can be obtained just by purchasing the said ebook and executing whatever is inside. The salesletter also made it seem that the author owns fleets of Mercedez Benz cars, luxurious mansions and private yachts.
The problem was I know this particular marketer personally. He is actually a 17 year old high school graduate looking for a few quick bucks by selling a little ebook he compiled with information collected from various sources from the Internet. My emergency alarm immediately kicked in and I can just imagine how many naïve newbies can be fooled with the deceptive sales copy.
The sad but very real fact is that there are many scam artists online, waiting to rip you off your hard-earned money. Hence, remember that the usual advice for consumers still apply online: use your common sense. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.
Remember, when you intend to purchase something from the Internet, do a basic check-up on the merchant website. First and foremost, if you have even the slightest question on any of the features of the product mentioned, email the merchant regarding it and observe the attitude with which he/she replies. Customer support reveals a lot about the integrity of a business.
Finally, if you can't even find support email on their website, click the “Back” button and run away from the site at once!

E-books and Affiliate Programs!
Some E-books combine very well with an affiliate program. When the affiliate receives some extra benefit from promoting the viral message, like being able to brand your E-book with his affiliate links, the affiliate makes a sale when a reader buys through a branded link. You benefit from increased traffic on your website because the affiliate is willing to promote the E-books for you.
Be absolutely certain that your message includes a clear call to action. There shouldn’t be any doubt whatsoever about what you intend recipients to do. Make sure that the instructions are perfectly clear so that recipients know HOW to act. The action that you require should be simple and obvious as well. Don’t make things complicated or it will confuse the reader, such as by adding numerous links.
Remember the K.I.S.S. principle Keep It Simple Stupid! The incentive should be clear to those you want to take an action. Readers will look at your offering for about seven seconds before they move on. If it takes longer than that for them to figure out what it is you want them to do, they will move on. Don’t make your message vague or difficult to comprehend. If you do, chances are you will lose them. You must respect your readers enough to express your message clearly.
Once you are sure you have an E-book that will be of value to an affiliate program, approach them with your idea and be able to show that it will be mutually beneficial.

Working Hard at Selling Your Product - But Earning PEANUTS?
Without question, the most overlooked, under-valued and under-utilized asset in practically every business is its customer base.
The fact of the matter is that most businesses only look at each customer they acquire as being worth a single purchase. They simply fail to realize that the easiest money they'll ever make is selling additional products, upgrades and services to their existing customers.
Customers that already trust them, like them and will gladly buy from them again without the need for expensive incentives, bonuses, marketing/selling skill or otherwise effort of any kind.
Folks, almost ALL of your expense in business is acquiring new customers. So why in the world would you only sell to them one time!?
This is called the backend profit model - which is the simple strategy of upselling, cross-selling and recommending complimentary products to already existing customers. Did you know that many successful businesses will literally sell their first "entry product" at a LOSS - just so they can sell them again and again?
They take the loss (and the risk) for a reason. It works. In fact, this one easy "change" to your strategy will enable you to literally multiply your revenues without spending more money or "working harder". This is the difference between a business that's a glorified "job" and a wildly successful business that you can sell for a fortune...
Can you see the logic behind this?
Now, you might have an objection...
"Isn't it expensive and time-consuming to develop new products all the time?"
Yes, it is.
And this is where strategic alliances come to the rescue. You could easily build your own highly-profitable backend profit system in a matter of DAYS just by endorsing someone else's products and splitting the profits with them.
